Authorized Users
Students who wish to grant other individuals access to their account information (including notification of statements) must establish those individuals as Authorized Users in Cardinal Pay. The university is unable to discuss or disclose account information to any person other than the student unless the student has established that individual(s) as an Authorized User on his or her account. An Authorized User account should be established for each individual that a student wishes to have access to his or her account information.
Authorized Users will have with their own login name and password for the Cardinal Pay website where they can access statements and make online payments.
Setting Up Authorized Users
Students must grant access to their account to all third parties, including parents. Individuals to whom they have granted access are called Authorized Users in our system.
There are two ways to gain Authorized User access to a student's account:
Student Sets Up Access
The student can proactively establish access for a third party by following these steps:
- Log into Cardinal Students
- Select the Student Accounts tile
- Select the Authorize Users menu option
- Select the Cardinal Pay button
- Log into Cardinal Pay
- Select Manage Authorized Users from the Actions menu near the top right of the page
- Select the Add Authorized User button
- Enter the name and email address of your Authorized User
- Select the Create button near the bottom of the page
- Your Authorized User will receive a welcome message at the email address you provided. They should use the link in the message to set up their account.
Third Party Requests Access
A third party can request access to a student's account by following these steps:
- Visit https://catholic.myflywire.com and selecting the Create New Account button
- Check your email for an Activate Your Email Address message and select the link in the email to activate your account
- Log into the system when prompted
- Enter your student's information
- Ask your student to check their Catholic University email account for a message prompting them to grant access to their account. When they log into the system they will see a message asking them to grant or deny your access. If they choose to grant access then you'll see their account information the next time you log into your Cardinal Pay account.
There is no limit to the number of Authorized Users allowed.
