The balance due on a student's bill includes the amount of any anticipated financial aid. Anticipated financial aid is displayed on the bill until the award or loan is disbursed to the account or the item is cancelled. The account as displayed in Cardinal Students does not include anticipated aid in the calculation of the balance due.

If you have applied for and accepted a financial aid award package you may defer payment of that portion of your semester charges covered by financial aid that will be remitted directly to the University by the paying agency. Financial aid documentation/loan applications must be completed before the fall semester payment deadline to be eligible for deferment for the fall term, and by spring semester payment deadline to be eligible for the spring term. The deferred amount may be no greater than the sum of the scholarships, loans (net of origination fees) or other aid. If you have any questions about your financial aid, please contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance by e-mail at cua-finaid@cua.edu or by phone at (202) 319-5307 or (888) 635-7788 toll-free.

A loan will not be disbursed to the account until all the requirements for receiving loan funds, such as entrance interviews and promissory notes, have been met. Award offers not acted upon in a timely manner may be cancelled.
